Social Media Pledge

We commit to educating our children about the risks and rewards of social media—and to granting unrestricted access only when they're ready. We pledge to guide their online introduction with intention, not impulse.

“I… believe that 13 is too early [for social media]… If parents can band together and say… we’re not going to allow our kids to use social media until 16 or 17 or 18… that’s a much more effective strategy.” - US Surgeon GeneralVivek Murthy

  • We parents agree not to allow unsupervised social media use before age 16.

  • Before granting access, we will have open discussions with our children about digital privacy, online behavior, and emotional well‑being.

  • Access will be gradual and conditional upon demonstrating responsible use (e.g., healthy screen habits and open communication).
